Marie Shell

You could call it eclectic, for subject matter ranges from abstract to
realistic, relating to nature in its many forms. Being an experimental
artist, color and texture may actually be the subject matter. The love
of flowers from her garden is very often used. They include orchids,
cannas, camelias, roses & azaleas. Symbols used often are shells,
butterflys, dragonflys, a sun or moon, & gold metalic touches.
Watercolor, collage, acrylic, ink, oil & pastels are used, singly
or in combination.
She looks for something to surprise herself & viewers of her work.
Each painting is singular & special.
Painting will always be a happy choice in my life.
